The recently-opened DoubleTree by Hilton London – Ealing has welcomed general manager Matt Williams to its team. Matt will manage the hotel, which converted from an independent hotel to the DoubleTree by Hilton brand in June, joining the portfolio of 21 hotels across the UK.
Prior to being appointed general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton London – Ealing, Matt was general manager at Copthorne Hotel Birmingham, overseeing and leading the hotel’s growth in the conference and events market. Matt brings 16 years of hospitality experience to his new role, having previously worked for
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels for six years, as well as Ramada Hotels & Resorts and Corus Hotels.
Matt comments: “Following the hotel’s £10m refurbishment and conversion to the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, we now offer all the modern facilities of an upscale hotel in an ideal location for business and leisure travellers. It’s an exciting time to join the hotel when it is just starting out and I look forward to leading the team going forward.”
Matt will oversee the running of the 189-room new-look hotel that offers spacious in-room work areas; tech-friendly stations in the hotel’s bar and lounge; a specialist grill restaurant named W5 Grill & Bar; and six meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 240 guests banquet-style.
