DoubleTree by Hilton, one of 10 unique brands within Hilton Worldwide, has welcomed DoubleTree by Hilton London – Hyde Park to its portfolio – taking the total number of properties in the capital to nine. A joint venture between DoubleTree by Hilton and Westmont Hospitality Group, the hotel is ideally located opposite
Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, and offers a relaxed city retreat with a focus on style and contemporary comfort.
The conversion, which has seen the hotel undergo a £10m full refurbishment, has created a spacious 24-hour fitness centre, as well as 12 new first floor guest rooms, taking the total number to 228. In September of this year, the hotel will also launch a restaurant offering outside seating on its spacious terrace overlooking Hyde Park.
Reflecting the hotels’ suburban surroundings and, in keeping with the natural theme, DoubleTree by Hilton London – Hyde Park has been styled using warm autumnal colours and timber tones. Honey and beige hues are contrasted by bursts of colour, as bold prints and burnt orange shades are injected into the design.
Soft furnishings and throws offset dark oak desktops, while honey oak wardrobes and geometric, leaf-inspired carpeting completes the look.
Max Ball, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton London – Hyde Park, comments: “We’re excited to be opening our doors to the public, offering upscale accommodation in such an iconic London location. The hotel’s £10m refurbishment has transformed the look and feel of the hotel, and we’re delighted to be able to share this with our guests.”
Christopher Rawstron, vice-president of operations – asset management at Westmont Management, adds: “London has experienced a steady growth in the hotel market over the last couple years, and the initiation of an investment programme will ensure the property remains ahead of its competitors. The revitalisation programme has been designed to give guests a warm welcome and stylish accommodation, marking a new era for the hotel.”
