Hilton Worldwide has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Jiaxing, the brand’s 16th property in China and the first internationally-branded, full-service hotel in Jiaxing. Located in the city centre, the stylish and upscale six-story, 274-room hotel boasts three distinctive restaurants, a grand ballroom and nine multi-functional meeting rooms. The hotel is owned by the Jiaxing Yongxin Development Company.
“Jiaxing has not only a huge cultural significance in China and is renowned for its beautiful scenery, but is also uniquely located between the major cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou,” says Bruce McKenzie, senior vice president of operations, Greater China and Mongolia at Hilton Worldwide. “The city is experiencing rapid development, and the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Jiaxing will support this continued growth.
“This year marks Hilton Worldwide’s 25th anniversary in China and the company has established a growing portfolio of trading hotels in the mainland over the years. The opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton in Jiaxing is the latest welcome addition to that portfolio.”
John Greenleaf, global head at DoubleTree by Hilton, adds: “This new hotel reinforces the success of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand in China. At DoubleTree by Hilton, we know the little things mean everything when it comes to a great travel experience. We are excited to deliver this experience to guests in Jiaxing for the first time ever, and deliver the unparalleled service for which the DoubleTree by Hilton brand is known – starting with our signature warm chocolate chip cookie welcome.”
