Manchester United star, Ryan Giggs, has teamed up with former player, Gary Neville, and managing director, Stuart Procter, to launch a hospitality company. GG Hospitality will introduce a 160-cover restaurant in Westfield Stratford in November and a 139-bedroom hotel near to Old Trafford in autumn 2014.
Café Football will be a venue centred on casual dining. Brendan Fyldes has been appointed as executive chef, while Michael Wignall will take the reigns as creative director. The restaurant’s design will offer a subtle twist on the football theme.
Hotel Football is a mid-market new-build property, which will be headed by current general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester, Stewart Davies. Costing approximately £20m to develop, the hotel will feature a football pitch on the roof with hints of the theme present in the interior.
