Virgin Hotels has appointed David Monson as General Manager for Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch, its first London hotel from the luxury lifestyle brand.
A seasoned hotelier, David brings with him over 30 years’ hospitality experience and expertise within globally celebrated five-star hotels across the UK and international market.
In his role at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch, David will spearhead project management and be responsible for the hotel’s day-to-day operations including its food and beverage destinations, ensuring the establishment provides a first-class guest experience for both local and international visitors.
David joins Virgin Hotels from Broadwick Soho, where he held the position of General Manager. Prior, David’s CV spans a six-year term at COMO Hotels & Resorts, and an 18-year tenure at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, including Director roles in London, Dallas, The Bahamas, and Hampshire. During his career, he has also worked at London’s Claridge’s and The Savoy.

Poised to bring an unparalleled blend of heartfelt service, innovation, and personalised experiences to one of London’s most dynamic and eclectic neighbourhoods, Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch opened in August 2024, marking the start of a phased transformation of the 120-bedroom hotel to bring iconic features of the Virgin Hotels brand to the space. The launch of the full hotel is expected to take place in spring 2025.
