Despite a challenging couple of years, restaurant group Gordon Ramsay Holdings has announced that 2012 was the “best year to date” for the company. A loss of £4.1m in 2011 may have led to one of Gordon Ramsay’s famous verbal outbursts, but last year’s figures recorded a profit of £1.4m.
The celebrity chef said that he was delighted with the progress the group has made, especially during the difficult economic climate.
He comments: “We now have an extremely robust business which is only going to go from strength to strength, nurturing some of the best talent in the industry and offering amazing dining experiences around the world.”
The announcement of 2012 profits is set to secure a number of restaurant jobs among locations within the group, as well as encouraging further chef recruitment under the policy of developing young talent.
