St James’s Hotel & Club has announced the appointment of Graham Copeman as Managing Director of luxury five-star property, St James’s Hotel and Club, Park Place, London.
Having worked at some of the most respected properties and prestigious hotels in London, Copeman arrives at St James’s Hotel and Club with over 18 years of industry experience and expertise. His new role will see him drive forward staff training and development; placing the hotel at the forefront of the industry, cultivating both domestic and international relationships, providing exceptional guest service; increasing profitability and commercial success and nurturing the continued success of award-winning executive chef William Drabble’s Michelin- starred restaurant, Seven Park Place.
His passion for luxury hotels started early on in his career, following a string of successful roles at The Lanesborough near London’s Hyde Park and the contemporary luxury property One Aldwych, Covent Garden, where he was tasked with the launch of the hotel, working there for four years before joining Claridge’s as House Manager in 2002.

In 2006, Copeman was appointed Hotel Manager at The Goring, later taking the reins as General Manager – a pivotal role and turning point in his career. Copeman was tasked with undertaking day-to-day management of the hotel and project managing each phase of the hotel’s substantial refurbishment, in anticipation of The Goring’s Centenary in 2010. He was also solely responsible for co-ordinating the hosting of the Middleton family and their guests for the Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.
