Grosvenor House Apartments by Jumeirah Living, the luxurious hotel residence on Park Lane, London, has announced Mark Humphrey as its official artist in residence. The appointment follows the successful 2012 Diamond and Flames collaboration created by Mark, which can currently to be seen in the striking seven-storey vaulted atrium, and now forms part of a wider exhibition entitled Modern Antiquities: Unique works in life, which is exhibited throughout the hotel residence.
Crafted from an array of precious materials, Mark’s exhibition challenges the balance between purpose and aesthetics of everyday objects. Collections on display include Tablescapes which can be enjoyed exclusively by guests of the Penthouse Suites during their stay. Each of the carefully-selected pieces serves to enhance and complement the striking and stylish interior that Grosvenor House Apartments has become known for.
In addition, the Cabinet of Masterpieces offers a preview of the exclusive exhibition on display in the Penthouse Suites, providing an inspiring range of jewellery and smaller works of art for guests to peruse and purchase. Private viewings and bespoke works are available upon request.
