Hard Rock International, arguably one of the world’s most recognisable and iconic brands, has announced the promotion of its director of marketing for Hotels and Casinos, Nora Swire, to senior director of marketing. This promotion is all the more significant given the estimation that women only account for 6% of senior executives within the hospitality industry.
In this capacity, Swire will continue to lead the brand’s global marketing efforts, including the execution of strategic marketing and brand building initiatives, management of marketing research, and oversight of web, social media and e-commerce programs. Representing a brand of immense global presence with locations from San Diego to Chicago, Bali and Macau, Swire will take responsibility for driving the company’s international marketing strategy, in addition to communication efforts for future developments in the Hard Rock pipeline.
“As Hard Rock continues its global expansion, it is essential that through marketing communications our name is managed by someone who is not only intuitive within the industry, but also passionate about the brand,” says John Galloway, chief marketing officer, Hard Rock International. “Nora has continuously demonstrated the ability to develop and execute marketing strategies to help achieve and exceed the brand’s goals and we are so fortunate to have someone of her caliber on our team.”
Swire brings more than 15 years of experience in hospitality, real estate and retail marketing, including her years at Hard Rock International where she is responsible for global marketing efforts of the Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos brand, as well as individual properties, which include 19 hotels and 9 casinos worldwide. Swire received a Masters of Arts in Mass Communication and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, both from the University of Central Florida.
