Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire has now unveiled a brand new bridal suite and ten guest bedrooms as part of a major investment programme.
The Bridal Suite, which is one of the largest in Europe, comprises a large bedroom, en-suite bathroom, dressing room and private balcony terrace, spanning the entire front of the house.
The suite has been meticulously designed, and features a handmade four poster bed with delicate voile drapery, Louis XVI style chaise longues and sparkling chandeliers.
Surrounding the Grand Hall of the house, a further ten guest bedrooms offer space, style and glamour. The rooms are light and fresh in style, with linen upholstered bedheads, antique mirrors and clean, bright colour schemes.
En-suite bathrooms feature attractive tiled floors, Burlington basins and luxurious Floris toiletries. Through the original Georgian sash windows in every bedroom guests can admire panoramic views of the Buckinghamshire countryside.
As part of the refurbishment, many original features were maintained and restored to their former glory. Restoration of the original 1920s Bridal bathroom revealed that striking onyx lines the walls from floor to ceiling, and a hidden sunken bath was transformed into a double shower.
Decorative timber frames were added to many of the new corner bedrooms on the second floor, framing the existing intricate mouldings.
