Hilton London Euston has revealed its plans to invest more than £8m on the refurbishment of the hotel. Work will include a full revamp of all guest rooms, increasing the number of rooms the hotel has to offer, and creating a new fitness centre.
All 150 bedrooms will be transformed into comfortable and inviting spaces, while a number of new bedrooms will be added to reflect the rising demand in the area from the continuing increase of guests coming to visit London.
“We are thrilled to be unveiling our renovation plans for our guest rooms and public areas,” says Mark Roth, cluster general manager, Hilton London Euston and Paddington. “We have planned this based on loyal guests’ feedback and our desire to continue to develop our services to meet the requirements of our existing and future guests.
“We hope to start welcoming people to our first refurbished bedrooms by the beginning of September and we are confident that both business and leisure guests will fully enjoy the new facilities”.
The hotel is made up of two Victorian town houses joined together and is located in the well known central Bloomsbury area. The new design of the guest rooms is inspired by the heritage of the surrounding area, which is well renowned for its culture, literary, artistic and social links in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The sophisticated décor reflects the nature of the influential group of English writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists, also known as the Bloomsbury set, who were united by an abiding belief in the importance of arts.
