Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that it will be opening a Hyatt-branded hotel in Miami Beach, Fla, for the first time.
Ideally located on the world-famous Collins Avenue, in the heart of the South Beach Art Deco district, Hyatt South Beach will offer 105 guestrooms, as well as a fitness centre, outdoor pool and 10,000m² of prime ground floor retail space on Collins Avenue.
The hotel’s impressive facilities and locale will be an attractive prospect for business and leisure travellers alike – with the area’s celebrated sandy beaches, shopping districts, and the Miami Beach Convention Centre among some of the local amenities just a short stretch away.
“We are excited to be bringing the first Hyatt-branded hotel to Miami Beach,” says Robert Finvarb, CEO and founder of Miami-based Robert Finvarb Companies, which will be responsible for the development of the hotel. “Hyatt South Beach will be the ideal location for travellers to enjoy and explore the beaches and multiple attractions of Miami and beyond.
“Our company’s hotel portfolio spans across major cities throughout the United States and we are delighted to add the strength and innovation of the Hyatt brand to it.”
With construction due to start at the end of this year, and an expected opening date of 2015, Hyatt is confident that the brand will be a good fit for this new location.
“We are thrilled to present the modern boutique style of the Hyatt brand to one of the most vibrant, global destinations in the world in collaboration with Robert Finvarb Companies,” said David Tarr, senior vice president, real estate and development for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts.
“Hyatt South Beach will offer a new option for Hyatt guests visiting Miami Beach and will introduce new customers to the Hyatt brand. We are eager to share the Hyatt’s authentic hospitality and unique experiences with them.”
