The ONE Group, a global hospitality leader has again tapped ICRAVE, a New York-based innovation and design studio, to create a new location for its international restaurant brand STK.
STK Orlando will join the growing dining scene in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort, drawing both local residents and visiting guests alike.
Inspired by Florida’s waterfront towns and natural beauty, Disney Springs is reimagined from Downtown Disney and offers world-class dining, unique shopping and high-quality entertainment.
STK Orlando, complete with a striking second-level terrace, is located within The Landing neighborhood at Disney Springs and boasts a nearly 15,000-square-foot building reminiscent of a refurbished 1900s train station.
“It’s thrilling to see the Central Florida market get an STK as Disney Springs comes to life,” says Jesse MacDougall, director of strategy and brand development for ICRAVE. “We’re excited to be part of this important milestone for the STK brand as they bring their unique dining experience to the Walt Disney World Resort.”
The spacious modern steakhouse will feature indoor and outdoor seating, a bistro, bar, and private dining rooms, as well as outdoor terrace spaces on both the ground and second levels. At STK’s main entrance is its first sidewalk promenade, featuring large, retractable glass windows that open up to the outdoors.
Inside, the main bar area will feature dark-wood flooring and furniture juxtaposed by both a white marble bar top and a suspended array of sculptural white baffles with intermittent hanging Bocci pendants. Large banquette and booth seating in STK’s trademark styles will offer guests an intimate and social experience in the main dining area. Perhaps one of the most eye-catching elements will be STK’s iconic wall feature-an array of ceramic longhorns uniquely laid out to resemble an eyelash.
On the second floor, STK’s outdoor dining areas flank a central bar and interior space. The second-level terrace takes on a more relaxed feel than its lower-floor counterpart, with upholstered accents, blasts of color, bold artwork and overhead festoon lighting. From the two-story, open-air turret, guests will enjoy a fire-pit lounge and delight in unobstructed views of the springs and surroundings from every angle. The two-story tower will serve as a beacon for the entire Disney Springs complex, drawing guests to the new landmark location.
Slated to open spring 2016, the newest STK location puts a distinctive Disney twist on the sophisticated steakhouse that originated in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District in 2008. ICRAVE has previously designed STK restaurants in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami.
