Hospitality Action (HA)‘s second London to Paris Cycle Challenge took place last weekend, raising almost £40,000 for the industry charity with more sponsorship money due to roll in over the next few weeks.
The challenge was undertaken by 21 of the industry’s prominent members, including Andrew Stembridge, MD at Chewton Glen and Cliveden House; Jonathan Raggett, MD at Red Carnation Hotels and HA trustee; Danny Pecorelli, MD at Exclusive Hotels; Richard Ball, MD at Calcot Manor and Barnsley House and HA trustee; and Ashley Palmer-Watts, head of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
William Baxter, HA chairman and participant in the challenge, says: “We cyclists were tested to the limit mentally and physically, but with an unflinching team spirit we carried on. The commitment and dedication of the team to complete this incredibly tough challenge and raise an outstanding amount of money for our industry charity is truly amazing, and I was very proud to be a part of it.”
