Jurys Inn Brighton has been awarded a Gold accreditation for Sustainable Business at the Beautiful South Awards for Excellence 2013. This success follows the hotel receiving the Responsible Business Award at the Sussex Business Awards 2013, where it was also highly commended for the Most Sustainable Business award. Held at the Felbridge Hotel, West Sussex, this year’s Beautiful South Awards was co-hosted by Tourism South East chairman, Ken Robinson, CBE and travel journalist and broadcaster, Alison Rice.
Jurys Inn Brighton secured the Gold award for Sustainable Business, thanks to the city-centre hotel’s ongoing commitment to reducing the environmental impacts of the business. The Gold accreditation follows last year’s success, where the hotel was awarded with three awards including the Silver award for Sustainable Business.
Damien Doyle, GM at Jurys Inn Brighton, says: “We are delighted that our efforts to improve the way we operate in terms of sustainability have been recognised once again. Not only are we delighted to have recently been honoured as a Responsible Business at the Sussex Business Awards, this year’s Gold accreditation at the Beautiful South Awards proves that we are committed to continuing to raise our standards and are always thinking about the impact our business has on the environment.
“We will continue to strive to improve our offering in the coming year and look forward to entering the national stage at the Visit England Awards for Excellence in 2014.”
