Jurys Inn has announced several new appointments within its management team.
Anthony Barrett takes the role of general manager of 172-bedroom Jurys Inn Chelsea, following two years as deputy general manager for Jurys Inn Birmingham during the hotel’s £4.7m refurbishment. Having joined the company in 2004 as duty manager at the Chelsea hotel, Anthony has worked at five different hotels across the group.
David Livingstone has been appointed general manager of 259-bedroom Jurys Inn Sheffield, following his role as deputy general manager of Jurys Inn Derby. David gained a Certificate in Hotel and Catering Management at GMIT Galway before joining Jurys Inn in 2010.
David Shiels, general manager, has moved from Jurys Inn Southampton to 186-bedroom Jurys Inn Edinburgh. David joined Jurys Inn five years ago as deputy general manager for Jurys Inn Glasgow, and brings over 15 years’ experience in the leisure industry to the role. David discovered his enthusiasm for the hospitality industry at an early age, starting as a waiter in a small independent hotel, gradually working his way up the career ladder across a range of hotel groups.
Michelle Finnegan, general manager, has moved from Jurys Inn Sheffield to Jurys Inn Southampton. Michelle joined Jurys Inn in 2001 as part of the reservations team, and has quickly progressed through the ranks. Jurys Inn Southampton is the largest hotel in the city, boasting 270 bedrooms and 10 dedicated meeting rooms.
