Kara Siffermann has been promoted to the role of Vice President Design at Resorts World. Resorts World Las Vegas is being developed by Genting Berhad and is set to open Summer 2021. Siffermann was previously the Director of Design for Resorts World and has been overseeing the $4.3B design since joining the project in February 2019.
Siffermann and her team of twelve are responsible for both interior and exterior design of the 88 acre, 3500 room hotel and resort. Sifferman also manages the relationships with nine interior design consulting firms and two architects of record.
Previously Siffermann directed large scale projects for Virgin Hotels, Wynn Design and Development where she was responsible for The Encore’s Botero Restaurant and 2015 Tower remodel, as well as remodels of multiple restaurants and properties at The Wynn including Tryst Nightclub. Prior to that she directed designs for MGM Hospitality in Vietnam, Beijing, and Kuala Lumpur; and a $1.2B project for Redrock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Early in her career she worked with Alexandra Champalimaud on Ritz Carlton and Loews properties and with New York’s Tony Chi on Intercontinental and Mandarin Oriental restaurant properties in both Egypt and Istanbul.
Siffermann was most recently quoted in American Builders Quarterly regarding the new Resorts World property. “We will have a wide variety of amenities and exciting experiences Vegas is known to offer, but it will be our technology and thoughtful design that will set us apart.”
