KSL Resorts announces the appointment of Kristie Goshow as its new chief commercial officer to take charge of driving and maximizing revenue performance of the company’s growing portfolio of resort properties. Goshow assumes the position following the retirement of former KSL Resorts’ CCO Jeff Senior, who was the visionary of the transformation of Orange County’s former St. Regis in Dana Point into the Monarch Beach Resort and served on Visit California’s board leading its marketing strategy for several years.
According to James Struthers, president of KSL Resorts – which invests in and manages world-class destination resorts, hotels and clubs – Goshow will be instrumental in accelerating the company’s growth strategy with a focus on defining, implementing and establishing accountability for key performance indicators. “A thought leader and hospitality innovator, Kristie is ideally suited for this key position and joins us at a time as we prepare to expand our portfolio,” he said. “Her decades of hospitality industry experience and inherent understanding of brand development, revenue optimization, sales and marketing strategy and e-commerce will be instrumental to our forward-thinking growth strategy. We are thrilled to have her join our executive team.”
With more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience, Goshow is well equipped to follow in Senior’s footsteps, having led teams in all facets of the hospitality industry – from hotels to airlines to travel technology. “I am thrilled to join the talented leadership driving KSL Resorts at such an exciting point in its evolution,” Goshow said. “With such an incredibly diverse portfolio, the opportunities for incremental business innovation and value creation are very exciting.”
Goshow was most recently chief marketing officer for Preferred Hotels & Resorts, where she oversaw brand strategy, strategic partnerships, global merchandising and digital marketing. Prior to that, she was senior vice president – commercial for Viceroy Hotel Group, a position she held for five years and was also vice president of marketing for Sabre Hospitality Solutions. She began her career in marketing and corporate sales for such high-profile companies as Virgin Atlantic, Scandinavian Airlines, Le Meridien Hotels and Pegasus Solutions.
A member of the board of governors for Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG.org), she was recognized by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) as one of the top 25 extraordinary minds in hospitality sales, marketing and revenue optimization in 2019. She holds a bachelor’s degree in travel, tourism and transport management from London Metropolitan University.
