A leading North East hotelier has been recognised for his support of a charity, after a donation of £55,000 was raised at a major event.
John Adamson, owner of Ramside Hall Hotel and Hardwick Hall Hotel in County Durham, has been a long-standing supporter of Stockton-based Butterwick Hospice Care.
At the charity’s corporate reception – attended by more than 140 business leaders – he was publicly thanked after handing over the massive cheque, raised at Hardwick Hall’s annual Oyster Festival.
Mr Adamson has now been recognised as one of the charity’s corporate partners and has supported their fund raising efforts throughout the year.
Butterwick Chief Executive, Graham Leggatt-Chidgey said: “”We are extremely grateful to John for his support and that of his fantastic team at Hardwick Hall. His commitment to the hospice this year has enabled us to raise more than £120,000 towards the care of local people.”
