Twin brothers, Livio and Lorenzo Belpassi, have just launched Belpassi Bros – a permanent version of their much-loved meatball truck – in Tooting.
Quirky collaborations got the Belpassi name out there, from a meatball menu synced to iconic scenes in Scorsese’s Goodfellas at Gordon Ramsay’s Union Street Café; a House of Peroni pop-up, Soho House’s House Festival; and a partnership with eccentric life drawing venue Doodle Bar. A Belpassi Bros vintage 1967 Fiat van, quickly became an Instagram favourite at London’s iconic Old Spitalfields Market too.
Focused on handmade meatballs lovingly prepared using their father’s traditional Italian techniques, the brothers only use high quality, natural ingredients. The 40 cover restaurant and bar has already become a neighbourhood hotspot since opening in August 2016.
