London Design Week 2020 returns to Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour from 8 -13 March 2020. This year, the event is themed around ‘masters of design’ and what it takes to be the best of the best. The week-long celebration is all about being immersed in design excellence at a legendary hub that is as inspiring as it is influential.
Europe’s largest design destination is set to spark a remarkable dialogue between 120 international participants, interior designers and design enthusiasts. Reflecting Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour’s commitment to creativity and connection, guests can expect a packed programme of events. At London Design Week 2020, there will be an abundance of designer know-how all under one roof and expert guidance at every turn; from the acclaimed Conversations in Design series where eminent names will share their experiences, to the introduction of Grow Your Business sessions aimed at those who want to take the next steps. Specially commissioned installations and restaurants complement the events programme, bringing to life the current mood in interiors. Come to be inspired, to learn, to share; to see the best of the best in design and hear from the brightest minds and the industry’s leading lights. This wealth of insider knowledge is extraordinary and, what’s more, entry is free for every visitor.
Latest Launches
Be among the first to see new products from 600 global brands. Exquisite materials, couture detailing and the dramatic use of colour, pattern and texture; all celebrating the importance of provenance, skill, craftsmanship and a move towards informed choices.
House Guests
Adding another layer to the offering will be a raft of ‘house guests’ such as Rose Uniacke and Flora Soames who will only be in situ for the duration of the show. They will bring fresh perspectives and offer even more incentive for visitors to attend London Design Week 2020 to encounter world-class talent.
The Events Programme
Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour has curated a programme of more than 100 events that will include workshops, talks, artisan demonstrations and discovery tours that dig deeper inside the stories behind the designs and provide opportunities to meet the people who shaped them.
Conversation in Design
Be sure to catch the all-star Conversations in Design series which brings world renowned speakers to the main stage. Get top level insights at talks and panel discussions and hear from talent such as Olga Polizzi; design director of Rocco Forte hotels, interior designer Beata Heuman, Patrick Frey; president and creative director of Pierre Frey,as well as James Lohan; co-founder of Mr & Mrs Smith, and his sister interior designer Hannah Lohan, Joining panel discussions will be leading interior designers including Tom Bartlett of Waldo Works, Sheena Murphy of Nune, Samantha Todhunter, Elnaz Namaki, Emma Pocock of Turner Pocock and Emily Todhunter of Todhunter Earle.

Journey to Pantelleria with Zinc Textile
The tiny Italian island of Pantelleria influenced Zinc Textile’s latest collection. Join the company’s design director Justin Marr as he discusses this inspiration and the story behind the products, while enjoying an array of appetizers derived from the island’s multi-cultural heritage.

Cole & Son:
‘Seville’ collection launch
Be transported to the fragrant gardens and decorative Mudéjar architecture of southern Spain with this presentation of Cole & Son’s Seville wallcoverings. Design director Carley Bean will explain the origins of the designs and the techniques used bring them to life. Floral motifs such as jasmine, bougainvillea and orange trees feature alongside ‘Alcazar Gardens’, pictured, an evocative reimagining of Seville’s splendid palace

Arte:
Tokyo Blue by Moori x Arte
Tokyo Blue, Arte’s latest wallcovering collaboration with Dutch design company Moori, is inspired by the art of Japan. To celebrate the collection’s roots, Arte is hosting a Japanese whisky-tasting session alongside an introduction to the new collection: learn how to distinguish different flavours while exploring the materials innovation behind the wallcoverings, which include the use of denim, wood veneer, jute and raffia.
