Mr. White‘s English Chophouse Dover will be the third to open in the UK this year, following recently-opened venues in London and Manchester. The 85-cover restaurant will serve a range of fresh, high quality meat cuts alongside traditional home-grown classics such as Goats’ Cheese and Beetroot Salad, Roast Rump of Lamb and Fish Pie.
Wheeler’s Fish & Chips Shop showcases Marco’s take on the nation’s favourite seaside dish – fish and chips. The casual dining venue will pride itself on the authenticity and quality of ingredients sourced.
“What’s appealing about the Chophouse is its simplicity,” says Marco. “The menu is very simple and the whole idea is to be generous with the portions. It’s hard to beat classic British food and that is exactly what the Chophouse centres on alongside a fine collection of wines, cocktails and beer.
“As for Wheeler’s Fish & Chips, I am working closely with Garry Rosser, the owner of the award-winning Scallop Shell fish and chips shop in Bath, to ensure we source the best quality fish available to deliver a very affordably priced menu.”
Mr K Rajaseelan, managing director at the Best Western Plus Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, adds: “Our hotel has recently been refurbished throughout and the next part of our investment focuses on our food and beverage offer. Introducing Marco Pierre White’s concepts truly elevates what we do and we’re delighted to be bringing both Chophouse and Wheeler’s Fish and Chips Shop to the south coast.”
