ME by Melia has announced three new destinations to be added to its portfolio – Mallorca in May 2014, Ibiza in June 2014 and Dubai in 2016.
Located on the outskirts of Calvià , ME Mallorca will boast 246 rooms, 78 ME+ suites and a spacious sea-facing Suite ME. Both pools will be surrounded by Bali beds, which offer Pool Concierge and towel service.
Situated on a bay in Santa Eulalia, ME Ibiza will offer 200 guest rooms – including 21 ME+ suites, some of which will feature private Jacuzzi’s and swimming pools. All guest rooms will include bathrooms with spa-like rain showers and premium amenities, as well as access to the hotel’s integrated digital media hub.
The agreement for ME Dubai was signed by Mahdi Amjad, executive chairman and CEO at Omniyat, and Gabriel Escarrer, CEO and vice-chairman at Melia Hotels International, at ME London earlier this week.
Mahdi comments: “Last October, we surprised the market by announcing the first hotel entirely designed by Zaha Hadid, and since then, as expected, the interest of potential investors has not stopped growing. I can see that ME Dubai will be a quantum leap in the Middle East hotel and real estate market.”
Gabriel adds: “Dubai is in full recovery these days, along with the dynamic Middle East region, and the ME Dubai hotel will provide a completely new hotel and leisure offering for the emerging and very specific social psychographic – the open minded and stylish crowd looking for places and people to engage with.”
