Meliá Hotels International has unveiled its next major launch as the ME by Meliá brand continues to grow. ME by Meliá Dubai will open in the striking 95m-high Opus building, developed by real estate company Omniyat. Situated in the heart of the up-and-coming Burj Khalifa district, the property will be Zaha Hadid’s first hotel project for which she will design all of the interiors and exteriors.
Opening in 2016, the stylish ME by Meliá Dubai will comprise 100 luxury rooms, complemented by Michelin-star restaurants and exclusive international F&B brands, masterfully distributed across 250,000ft². The hotel’s facilities and Aura service will also be extended to the owners of the exclusive serviced apartments located on the upper floors, which include four penthouses with private roof terraces.
CEO and vice chairman at Meliá Hotels International, Gabriel Escarrer, says: “We have been searching for the next city for the ME brand to locate in and found it in this remarkable project in Dubai. It is a fascinating, exciting city that meets the high standards that ME by Meliá offers guests. Zaha Hadid’s masterpiece has exceeded our expectations – we are grateful to Omniyat for developing this ambitious project, and for trusting Meliá Hotels International as their key partner.”
