Minor Hotels will debut its Avani and Oaks brands in Yangon, Myanmar, with the development of two hotels as part of a management agreement with Kajima Yankin PPP, a wholly-capitalised subsidiary of Kajima Overseas Asia.
The 250-room Avani Yangon Hotel and 221-key Oaks Yangon are both set to open in 2024 and will be part of a mixed-use development, complete with office and retail space located in central Yangon.
The hotels will occupy two buildings joined by an underground retail centre, landscaped above with an urban park.
Avani Yangon Hotel will feature 250 guest rooms with standard rooms measuring 39 square metres. The property will incorporate an all-day dining option, rooftop restaurant and bar, AvaniSpa, fitness centre, executive lounge, ballroom, and meeting facilities.
Oaks Yangon will feature 221 rooms with a minimum size of 56 square meters, along with amenities and facilities for longer stays, including all-day dining, a kids’ club, swimming pool, and fitness facilities.
“We are very excited to partner with the highly respected Kajima to launch our brands in Myanmar,” says Dillip Rajakarier, CEO Minor Hotels. “The Avani and Oaks hotels will attract a diverse range of travellers and meet the market’s increasing demand for short and long-term accommodation.”
