Temporary structures specialist, Neptunus, has won a two-year contract to provide Snoozebox with a semi-permanent structure at its portable hotel at the Silverstone motorsport circuit in Northamptonshire.
Snoozebox offers transportable, temporary hotel accommodation that can be delivered to an event and be fully operational within 48 hours. Rooms arrive on trucks and are housed in shipping containers, which are craned into place. The contemporary rooms feature an en-suite wet room, double bed, climate control, power sockets, flat-screen TV and free WiFi, and are serviced daily with towels and toiletries.
The rooms have been on site at Silverstone for a year. Now that planning permission has been extended, Snoozebox sought to enhance its offering with a suitable semi-permanent structure that would form a reception, catering and social area.
Neptunus will provide an Evolution structure with partial mezzanine. This will create a meet-and-greet and cafe area exclusive to hotel guests, which boasts an exterior terrace providing views of the track.
Evolution is equipped with insulated rigid wall panels, an integrated rainwater guttering system and a new glulam wooden floor – combining a quality feel with insulation properties.
The project also boasts enhanced sustainability credentials. All the materials used in the installation have been recycled from Olympic projects. Furthermore, after the two-year hire period, the temporary structure can be dismantled and returned to hire stock for future resale.
Gary Thomson, COO at Snoozebox, comments: “The reception and catering facility will help to build a complete Snoozebox experience, and we are delighted to be working with Neptunus. Neptunus will deliver a quality structure quicky and efficiently, providing our guests with a first class facility. We very much look forward to taking our partnership with Neptunus forward at Silverstone.”
