Opening today, Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village is the first hotel in the UK to debut the Novotel brand’s new global design concept by leading design and architecture studio Sundukovy Sisters.
At 16-storeys high, the hotel is the highest in Liverpool and offers 360-degree views of the city and beyond.
Projecting Novotel’s new vision of modern hotel design, the new concept blends business with pleasure and mixes well-being among unique ‘co-living’ spaces that embrace lively, social surroundings, current trends and timeless comforts.
Each of the hotel’s 221 rooms are equipped with 55-inch televisions, and interconnecting rooms are available for travelling families. The hotel’s lobby features a dedicated recreational space for children, making it the perfect city base for visitors big and small.
Business travellers are spoilt for choice with three meeting and conferencing areas hosted on a dedicated floor equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The versatile space can be configured to facilitate events from corporate boardrooms to cocktail receptions.
The property also features 32 long-stay, apartment-style accommodations designed in partnership with key health and education stakeholders in the Knowledge Quarter, specifically for patients, students and relatives attending the nearby hospitals and universities.
Dining options available for guests and locals include a ground floor coffee shop supplied by Liverpool-based independent, Bean Coffee, and the hotel’s destination restaurant, Kensington Restaurant and Bar, which features an open kitchen showcasing Head Chef Kieran Maxwell and his team at work crafting coal cooked dishes in a Josper charcoal oven.
The hotel is a cornerstone of Liverpool City Council’s flagship £1bn Paddington Village development, which is set to become a sprawling urban village reminiscent of New York’s Greenwich Village. Ideally located in Liverpool’s dynamic Knowledge Quarter, this area of the city is set to become one of the UK’s leading innovation districts and a hub for industries ranging from health, technology and science to education, music, and performing arts.
Constructed by Morgan Sindall Construction, the Liverpool City Council-owned hotel is franchised by Accor and will be managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts on the council’s behalf. The hotel has been designed by Ryder Architecture, with Faithful+Gould acting as project managers.
Novotel teamed up with four international design teams to bring the brand’s new vision of modern, 21st century style to the world. Following an intense worldwide design pitch, Novotel chose four winning concepts that are being brought to life at Novotel locations around the globe.
