Specialist hospitality and leisure design company, Purpose Design, is adding to its portfolio of work in the Middle East following a successful bid for a project with the Safir Hotel Group for its hotel in Salalah, Oman.
This is the latest international project win for the commercial interior design company, which merged recently with workplace design specialist, Space Solutions, in order to meet increased client demand to provide full service delivery from design to fit-out.
The project, which will start later in the year, will focus on the design of a new bar and restaurant within the Salalah Gardens Mall and Residences development. Working from its offices in the UK and Muscat, Oman, this will be Purpose Design’s first project with the Safir Group.
Gail Thomson, director of Purpose Design, comments: “Having spent a lot of time working in the Middle East last year, I am looking forward to being back in Oman, and I am pleased to have been appointed to work with such a renowned group on the design of its new restaurant and bar.
“The project is set to start imminently, and I am looking forward to working in Salalah, known as the Paradise of the Gulf – it will be a very exciting project for us. Our experience in working in the region will undoubtedly open up further opportunities for us. Since merging with Space Solutions, I have more time to explore the growing number of opportunities in the region and build on the group’s international growth aspirations.”
Purpose Design is currently working on a number of projects, including a destination nightclub within a hotel development in Oman, an extension to a club resort in Perthshire and a new hotel brand concept in the UK.
