Tile of Spain is to hold a free seminar for architects at the SCIN Gallery in London’s Clerkenwell district on 17th October.
Taking advanced ceramic and porcelain tiling solutions for high traffic areas as its theme, the seminar will feature a presentation by Javier Mira of the Spanish Institute of Technology and the Ceramic Industry Research Association, as well as a Q&A session.
The talk will present an overview of the various manufacturing methods and types of ceramics, before looking more closely at the latest advances in special finishes and installation solutions, from frost and UV resistance, to raised-access flooring and urban paving.
The event will be moderated by materials expert and founder of the SCIN Gallery, Annabelle Filer, and will include a curated product showcase demonstrating the Spanish tile industry’s expertise and innovation. Following the presentation and Q&A session there will be an opportunity for informal networking with a Spanish flavoured lunch.
