The Seaham Hall Hotel, one of the North East’s top hotels, has recently unveiled the results of a £100,000 refurbishment.
As part of an ongoing investment programme, The Ballroom at five star Seaham Hall Hotel, County Durham, has undergone an extensive redesign to strengthen its position as one of the county’s foremost function venues.
The room, which accommodates up to 100 people for weddings, corporate and social events, now incorporates custom made Irish carpets along with state-of-the-art touches, such as full audio visual connectivity.
The refurbishment of the ground floor room, which overlooks the Hall’s grounds, follows the unveiling of Seaham Hall’s Taittinger Sports Lounge and its Byron’s Bar & Grill earlier this year.
The sports lounge, which is open to residents and non-residents alike, enables sports lovers to view a variety of matches on a state-of-the-art 80 inch plasma screen and also houses a full size table football game and nine foot American pool table.
Work is already underway on the next phase of Seaham Hall’s refurbishment programme with the first of the hotel’s 20 suites having undergone a complete re-design.
In keeping with the Georgian hotel’s contemporary décor, each suite will be uniquely styled and boast a range of facilities, including full air-conditioning, flat screen TVs, Nespresso coffee machines and complimentary WiFi throughout.
“After 30 months and considerable investment Seaham Hall is once again a five star hotel,” says Ross Grieve, Seaham Hall Hotel’s general manager. “Not only does it boast a two AA rosetted restaurant and the multi-award-winning Serenity Spa but, most importantly, a dedicated team is in place, committed to excellent customer service. I have assembled a superb management team and we are on track to make Seaham Hall the region’s top hotel.”
