Hospitality Action, the trade charity for the hospitality industry, is celebrating an amazing 180 years.
With a jam packed calendar of fundraising events to enable the charity to meet its £1.8million target, 2017 will see the Apprenticeship Challenge take place across the country.
Hospitality Action is calling on foodservice and hospitality organisations throughout the UK to join their apprentices and personnel in development programmes, to organise a fundraising event or activity between March and September.
The activity should showcase initiative, imagination, organisational ability and skills, whilst also raising much needed funds to help thousands of people in the industry who need support. An awards ceremony in London during November tops off the challenge, celebrating everyone’s achievements.
There are lots of ways you and your apprentices can participate in the Apprenticeship Challenge, whether it’s organising a lunch or dinner at your establishment or getting colleagues and senior management teams involved in a physical challenge.
Penny Moore, CEO of Hospitality Action, says: “We are looking forward to hearing about some really creative, innovative and fun fundraising ideas in the coming months. It’s a great way to engage your team and bring people together.
“2017 is a huge year for our charity as we celebrate our 180th anniversary, and we’re calling on the support of our colleagues and industry friends to help us reach our target of £1.8m by the end of the year.”
The money raised from the Apprenticeship Challenge will be used to continue to fund the work carried out by Hospitality Action, whether that be supporting people through illness or poverty.
