As the countdown to the new January Furniture Show 2015 reaches its official six month mark, the event’s organiser has announced the acquisition of extra space to meet high exhibitor demand for the NEC event.
With the existing four halls – 1,2,3 and 3A – now sold out, Furniture Fairs, organiser of the Manchester and January Furniture Shows, reports that next January’s show is so oversubscribed it is expanding into the Pavilion area at the NEC. Space there will be offered to those manufacturers currently on the waiting list to exhibit.
Additionally, two high-profile industry leaders are adding their support to the event. Former NEC venue sales director Stephen Richards has been appointed as a director at Furniture Fairs, and MP for Stevenage, Stephen McPartland, will officially open the show on 13th January, at what will be the 25th consecutive furniture show to be held at the NEC.
Responsible for the launch of The Furniture Show in 1990, Stephen previously held roles at established organisations including Exclusively Exhibitions, Waypoint Exhibitions, Reed Exhibitions and Blenheim. He brings with him a wealth of experience and officially starts with the Furniture Fairs team on 1st September.
Comments Furniture Fairs’ directors and organisers of the January Furniture Show 2015 Laraine Janes and Theresa Raymond: “The appointment of Stephen and the involvement of Stephen McPartland further enhances the gravitas of the new-look January Furniture Show 2015. We are also absolutely delighted to report that all existing space at the event is full, so we have taken the decision to extend into the Pavilion which will give anyone on the waiting list the chance to exhibit.”
