Steigenberger Hotel Group has completed the renovation of the Steigenberger Parkhotel in Düsseldorf, Germany. The project has seen an investment of more than ¬10m since 2011, which has transformed the hotel’s lobby, terrace, winter garden, restaurants, guest rooms and suites.
“For us, the Steigenberger Parkhotel in Düsseldorf is a showpiece, which combines the classic elegance of a grand hotel with a rich tradition and the luxury of a modern five-star hotel”, says Puneet Chhatwal, CEO at Steigenberger Hotels.
“Its prime location on Düsseldorf’s glamorous grand boulevard, the Königsallee, underlines the individuality and exclusiveness of the object, and we are very proud that it shines in new splendour now.”
The hotel’s reopening was celebrated with an exclusive event last weekend. An outdoor multimedia show arranged by Frank Alexander entertained guests with lasers, beamers and flame throwers, while the facade of the property was illuminated. A range of charity activities on the night raised ¬5000, which was donated to the German Red Cross.
“The evening was a full success for us, as our guests enjoyed it and they are all impressed by our new look,” says Michael Kain, director of the Steigenberger Parkhotel in Düsseldorf. “It was an eventful and successful start and we are looking forward to a bright future.”
The Steigenberger Hotels portfolio comprises 98 hotels in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Egypt and China – of which, 14 properties are still under construction or at the planning stage.
