Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Istanbul, has been recognised at the World Luxury Hotel Awards (WLHA) 2013 with the Best Luxury Hotel of the European Continent accolade. The hotel had won the The Best Luxury Hotel of Turkey in the 2011 and 2012 editions, and has advanced its position in the international tourism arena with this year’s win.
The WLHA has been recognising the luxury hotels worldwide for overall service excellence since 2006. This year’s edition received a record number of entries.
Marinique De Wet, director at the WLHA, says. “Our belief is that service excellence is the most critical factor in a hotel’s measure as a luxury hotel, and winning a World Luxury Hotel Award would enhance performance levels if industry peers can be judged against other major players in the field.
“We can always be inspired to greater levels of excellence meaning exceeding customers’ expectations and paying attention to detail. The aim of awards is to encourage sustainable competition.”
