“In moving The Gettys Group’s Manila office from Quezon City to Ortigas Center, we have tripled our capacity to design and document projects in Asia, as well as in the Americas and Middle East,” explains Principal Dan Welborn, referring to the cross-office collaboration that is a company hallmark.
“We are thrilled to continue our commitment to helping grow the Asian market as well as developing its deep pool of talented designers and architects in order to deliver world-class projects around the world.”
The Gettys Group Principal Ben Nicholas has been tapped to oversee the Manila office as Managing Principal, who, along with Welborn and long-time Manila Studio Director Dave Li, will lead the sales and operations for this new Asian market base. A 15-year company veteran, Nicholas has helped open offices for The Gettys Group in addition to his role leading interior design projects across the globe.
“I am truly excited for this company direction and am thrilled to be leading the charge for the Manila office,” says Ben. “By expanding and enhancing our Asian presence, we are in a unique market position to identify and execute exciting projects that elevate The Gettys Group’s global influence.”
“The Gettys Group’s Manila-based team has a deep understanding of the opportunities that this burgeoning region offers,” says Dave on his instrumental role in bringing the firm’s Philippines office to life. “We now have an even stronger home base from which we can further solidify The Gettys Group’s authority throughout Asia.”
Notable projects for The Gettys Group’s Manila office and its team include the Marriott Manila Grand Ballrrom, Resorts World Casino, West Wing at Marriott Manila, along with a renovation project at a major casino in Manila and the soon-to-open Ho Man Tin Residential Development in Hong Kong.
