The Mirabelle restaurant – located at the only five-star seaside hotel in England, The Grand Hotel Eastbourne – is celebrating its 25 year anniversary in 2014. To mark The Mirabelle’s quarter-century success, The Grand Hotel Eastbourne will host a celebration event on the evening of Wednesday 5th March.
The Mirabelle is renowned for its elegant interior, seasonally-inspired menu and varied wine list, and has received numerous awards, accolades and critical acclaim over its 25 year history.
The Grand Hotel’s current executive head chef, Keith Mitchell, was originally appointed to The Mirabelle upon opening. Under his leadership, the restaurant has featured in the Good Food Guide every year since it opened and has been awarded two AA Rosettes. Gerald Roser took the helm as The Mirabelle’s head chef seven years ago.
Jonathan Webley, General Manager at The Grand Hotel, says: “We are extremely proud of The Mirabelle Restaurant and it’s hard to believe that it turns 25 years old this year. The restaurant has enjoyed amazing success, and this is down to the strength of Keith Mitchell, Gerald Roser and their team, who have continued to create the most delightful menus year after year.
“The restaurant’s elegant splendour and gorgeous interior has caught the attention of national food critics, who are never disappointed by the high standard of the food. For this reason, we thought The Mirabelle’s birthday should be a truly gourmet celebration.”
