The restaurant and club are the creation of Nic Brooks and Jake Panayiotou. Nic is a former city professional, while Jake was the main force behind and owner of the original Wellington Club Knightsbridge.
The venue showcases a carefully curated Modern European menu, created by its Executive Chef Brett Duarte, formerly Executive Chef of Gaucho Group. Duarte explores unique flavours, using only the finest fresh seasonal ingredients, in a selection of seafood, steak and vegetarian dishes.
Split across the ground and basement floors, The Wellington is a stylish setting with a series of private dining rooms and a total cover space of 130. Its interiors are inspired by the worlds of rock ‘n roll and modern art, while strongly referenced against the backdrop of a traditional St James’s private members’ club.
The restaurant’s walls are adorned with hand-painted original graffiti by Damien Hirst, which sit alongside one of the artist’s rare large-scale print of ‘The Hours’. The everlasting love affair between rock ‘n roll and neon is on display throughout the venue by a number of neon works by the incredible Chris Bracey.
