Having built a reputation for supplying a wide range of wooden floors, Victorian Woodworks is now displaying its extensive product offering at a new showroom in Mayfair, London. Over 80 timber floors are on display, ranging from 400-year-old antique and reclaimed offerings to new designs in unusual colourways – which are handmade in the UK at the company’s Cheshire factory.
The new showroom has been designed by London- and Singapore-based architectural and interiors agency, Shed. “Shed was briefed to design a space that reflected and enhanced our timeless and prestigious brand,” Steve Payne, general manager, comments.
“The design needed to operate as both our London studio and flagship showroom, to offer a unique experience for viewing, handling and selecting timber floors. It was these considerations that determined the layout, functionality and distinctive presentation of our products. Shed used an interesting combination of classic joinery details, with more contemporary styling and high-end finishes around the display area.”
