The Dorchester has announced the appointment of Vincent McGrath as hotel manager as of January 10th, 2022. Vincent arrives at The Dorchester along with Luca Virgilio, recently appointed general manager.
With a wealth of experience in luxury hospitality, Vincent will oversee the day to day operation of the hotel and support The Dorchester’s extensive renovation commencing in February 2022. Vincent returns to the UK following his tenure as area general manager for Caesars Palace at Bluewaters Dubai since 2016.
Prior to his time in Dubai, Vincent was director of operations for The Savoy for eight years, during which time the hotel underwent a significant restoration. He has also held several roles with Four Seasons at both their London and Hampshire properties. The Dorchester team will be welcoming Vincent back as he previously worked at the hotel as deputy director of food and beverage between 1996 and 2000.
“It is a great pleasure to welcome Vincent back to The Dorchester and to be beginning our journey here in London together,” comments Luca Virgilio, general manager for The Dorchester. “Vincent is an exceptionally talented operations professional and will play an integral part in running this legendary hotel as it enters a new era.”
Commenting on his new role, Vincent says: “It’s hugely exciting for me to be returning to London and to The Dorchester, which I have held in such high regard since first working here all those years ago. I am looking forward to working with the talented team to offer our guests the very best of everything that matters to them.”
Vincent McGrath succeeds Mirko Cattini, who has been appointed general manager of Dorchester Collection’s Hotel Eden in Rome.
