The Mount Hotel in Wolverhampton is celebrating the completion of major refurbishment works, which have not only restored the Victorian manor house to it former alluring grandeur, but has also resulted in the hotel receiving a number of critically-acclaimed awards.
Since 2011 The Mount Hotel has seen an extensive transition and refurbishment program, with the hotel now boasting an award winning AA Rosette restaurant, champagne bar and stylishly modernised guest rooms. The modernisation was carefully planned to protect the existing rich character of the Grade II Listed manor house, whilst bringing modern, contemporary guest services.
“The refurbishment has taken three years due to not interrupting weddings and functions at the hotel and we have used only the finest designs and top quality trades in order to ensure our product far exceeds the standards set by the modern traveller,” says owner, Scott Bernard.
“We’ve opened a fantastic restaurant and are proud to be the setting for both business and leisure guests, in addition to offering the perfect setting to tie the knot!”
Having proudly hosted royalty, aristocracy and other high profile individuals, the jewel in the crown of the new hotel is it’s champagne bar and award winning dining, having been a finalist in England and Wales’ Great Food Awards. The Hotel is set in four acres of manicured gardens and also offers the facility of outdoor weddings.
There are 65 bedrooms with a choice of standard, executive and deluxe options, alongside exuberant suites and fully serviced apartment, The Mount provides a warm welcome to a complete range of private, corporate and event guests. Guest rooms are found within the period building, striking courtyard conversions and accommodation wing on the grounds.
